My First Give Away

I just got to thinking about those of you who I've connected with via posts, comments and email and the very many who I've yet to "meet" out there in blogland, which prompted me to have my very first "Give Away". In so many different ways, each and every one of you has "touched" me and now I'd like to offer something in return.

After rearranging, tidying and reappointing what once was my design and painting studio, I came up with a few items that I'd like to share with you. The first item is this little turned wooden lamp that I designed and painted back in 2001, which sat on the top of my filing cabinet til a couple of weeks ago.

In a wrap around design, it features bittersweet vines, Canada goose decoy, salt glazed crock with a blue heart motif, pumpkin and a brass oil lamp. It is painted in acrylic and oil and is antiqued to give it a vintage look.
~

The colors are in an aged red, white and blue theme and would compliment any decor. It stands about 9" tall from the base to the top of the fixture where the light bulb sits and the only caveat is that you'll have to provide your own lampshade.
~
Okay so here's the deal.
~
1. You must have a blog.
2. Leave me a comment.
3. If you'd like a second entry, mention it on your blog then come back to let me know. For each person that mentions your name in their comment as having been referred by you, your name will be entered again.
4. Make sure there's a link back to your blog (or an email address) so if you win, I'll have a way of contacting you.
5. I will pick the winner on the day of my 50th post which I estimate to be on or around the 17th of March.
~
I hope I've covered everything. If you have any questions, just ask. Happy stitching!

What a beautiful lamp! My husband is a wood-turner but only turns salad bowls, vases and artistic pieces. I would love to display this lamp amongst the art we have in our home.

I am gone to add this to my blog!

If I should win you can contact me via: wwbjr@earthlink.net

Have a wonderful day!
